Know what to build before you fund it

Two weeks to answer the questions your board will ask: which AI use case pays back first, whether your data can support it, what it will cost to run, and how you will know it works.

What is an AI readiness review?

Most AI plans fail before the first line of code

Board wants an AI plan Pilot stuck in demo Unclear run costs

An AI readiness review is a fixed two-week engagement. We look at your use case, your data and any prototype you already have, then measure where you stand on an evaluation set built from your own examples.

You leave with a target architecture, a cost and latency model, the risks that would block production, and a 90-day plan you can run with us or with your own team.

01

Evaluation set and baseline

Real examples from your business, scored with metrics you agree to: accuracy, cost per task, time saved. Every later decision is measured against this baseline.

02

Target architecture

Which models, retrieval, agents and integrations the system needs, and which it does not. Build, buy or both, with the trade-offs written down.

Decor Icon
03

Run-cost and latency model

What the system will cost per task and per month at your volume, and how fast it will answer, before you commit a budget.

04

Go/no-go and a 90-day plan

The risks that would block production, how to retire them, and a delivery plan with milestones your team can hold us to.

How the two weeks run:

Decor Icon

Days 1–2: Scope

We meet the people who own the problem and agree on the decision the system must support and the metrics that define success.

Days 3–6: Data and evaluation

We sample your data, check quality and access, and build an evaluation set from real cases.

Days 7–9: Prototype and measure

We test two or three candidate approaches against the evaluation set and record accuracy, cost and latency.

Day 10: Readout

You get the architecture, the numbers and the plan in one session with your leadership team.

Which use case first?

We rank candidates by value, data readiness and risk, so the first project pays for the next.

Decor Icon

Is our data ready?

Coverage, quality, access and privacy, checked on the data the system would actually use.

Decor Icon

Build or buy?

Where an off-the-shelf tool is enough and where a custom system earns its cost.

Decor Icon

Which model?

Hosted or open-weight, large or small, measured on your evaluation set rather than on public benchmarks.

Decor Icon

What about compliance?

Personal data, audit trails and the EU AI Act obligations that apply to your use case.

Decor Icon
Decor Icon

What will it cost to run?

Model, infrastructure and maintenance costs at your volume, with the levers that bring them down.

Teams that kept working with us

From my experience, it is hard to find a team who have both excellent technical and commercial skills. Busy Rebel has never let us down, so we continue to work with them. The most important criteria we have as a team is creating & maintaining high standards; Busy Rebel has this in spades.

Cormac Horan
Product & Strategy Director, Co-Founder at BillWinner

I've had the pleasure of working with a few software houses in the past, but none of them compares to the team at Busy Rebel. Their sense of mission and purpose is unparalleled, and their in-house skills are excellent. I always know that I can rely on them to get the job done, and done well, even if we are working remotely.

Fiachra Ó Comhraí
Former VP at Salesforce Inc., CEO at RenewalDiary

Busy Rebel provides backend and data engineers to scale the world's #1 student engagement CRM's internal team. The team builds new features and modules, builds data integration pipelines, and maintains the existing product. Extremely happy with the outcome.

AI readiness review: FAQ

Answers before you book

How long does an AI readiness review take?

Two weeks from kickoff to readout. We need about two hours a week from the person who owns the problem, and access to sample data in the first three days.

What do we need to prepare?

A use case or a short list of candidates, 50 to 200 real examples of the work the system would do, and access to the data it would use. We sign an NDA before we see anything.

What does it cost?

A fixed fee agreed before we start, so the scope cannot drift. We share the current price on the scoping call.

What if the answer is “don’t build it”?

Then you have saved the cost of a failed pilot. A clear no-go with the reasons is a valid result, and we will say so.

Do we have to build the system with you afterwards?

No. The plan is written for whoever builds it. Some clients continue with a Pilot-to-Production Sprint; others hand it to their own team.
